11th body found in New Mexico desert work of serial killer?

Albuquerque  (ChattahBox) — Police in New Mexico have unearthed an 11th body from Albuquerque’s largest crime scene ever: a mesa west of the city where remains were discovered after the area was razed for a housing development.

Police have been searching the area, roughly 30-by-10-yard area atop a mesa west of the city, since Feb. 2, when a hiker found a human bone on the mesa, which had been cleared for a housing development. Read more

San Francisco Chronicle cutting staff but may have to shut down

(ChattahBox) — San Francisco may lose its main newspaper the San Francisco Chronicle, as it continues to lose money. Founded in founded in 1865, it is the 12th-largest newspaper in the United States, according to the U.S. Audit Bureau of Circulations, with average weekday circulation of 339,430.

Owner Hearst Corp said on its website on Tuesday that the Chronicle lost more than $50 million last year and this year’s losses to date are worse,  It said the paper has lost “major” amounts of money since 2001, a year after Hearst bought the paper. Read more

Lead singer Page leaves Barenaked Ladies on the heels of drug bust

(ChattahBox) — The popular Canadian band Barenaked Ladies, and it’s lead singer Steven Page, 38, are going their separate ways, the group announced on Wednesday:

“By mutual agreement, Steven Page will be parting company with the remaining members of Barenaked Ladies,” the band said on its Web site, saying Page would be pursuing solo projects. Read more

(ChattahBox) — There’s another new development in the octuplet mom saga of Nadya Suleman that I like the sound of. Suleman told pretent TV Doctor Phil McGraw on Tuesday that she fears Kaiser Permanente Medical Center may not release her babies to her until she proves she can care for them.

In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, McGraw said Suleman called him Tuesday afternoon, distressed after talking to hospital officials. Read more
