(ChattahBox) – An Airbus A310-300 from Yemen with 153 people on board crashed in the Indian Ocean early Tuesday as it tried to land during heavy wind on the island nation of Comoros in the archipelago. Most of the passengers on the Yemenia Air Airbus 310 were believed to be Comoros residents returning from Paris. The plane had stopped off in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, on the way to Moroni, the capital on the main island of the Comoros archipelago. The Paris airports authority said 66 French nationals were aboard the plane, which was flying the final leg of a flight taking passengers from Paris and Marseille to Comoros via Yemen. Rescue crews have spotted the wreckage, and there are a few bodies floating among a lot of debris, a Yemeni aviation official said. There is already early word that French aviation inspectors found a “number of faults” during a 2007 inspection of this plane.
Ruth Madoff Issues Statement Acknowledging Her Husband’s Ill deeds
June 29, 2009
(ChattahBox) — With her 71-year-old husband Bernard now sentenced to 150 years in prison, Ruth Madoff doesn’t have many friends herself right now, in fact she is basically a social pariah. Some people feel she had to know something of what her husband was up to, compounded by her silence regarding his crimes. In any case the rich life style she lead for many years was ill gotten. There will be no pity for Mrs. Madoff, but she has broken her silence and in a statement Monday she said that “the man who committed this horrible fraud is not the man whom I have known for all these years.” The statement acknowledged that her silence may have been interpreted as “indifference or lack of sympathy for the victims of my husband Bernie’s crime.” She said “this is “exactly the opposite of the truth” and that “not a day goes by when I don’t ache over the stories that I have heard and read.”

Lamenting the disappearance of a “free and honest press,” O’Reilly, who hosts a show (shouting fest), The O’Reilly Factor on the conservative media outlet Fox News, says he is just a simple “… media guy who wants accurate information.” You know, like all of the accurate information he disseminates on his show. That kind. Read more
