Yao Ming may miss entire next season or worse

June 29, 2009

(ChattahBox) — It appears that Yao Ming’s foot injury may force him to miss the entire next season, and it’s possible his basketball career may be in jeopardy as well. One worries anyway about an athlete that stands well over 7′ feet, and has had four surgeries in three years on his lower body. Further evidence though came last week when Houston issued a statement saying Yao’s fractured foot hadn’t healed properly, and that he would be unavailable “indefinitely.”  The troubling re-fracture of his navicular bone, in the playoffs this past season came after three pins were inserted a year ago.

Billy Mays Died Of Heart Disease, Coroner Says

June 29, 2009

Florida  (ChattahBox) –  While an official cause of death has not been released, the Tampa Bay medical examiner who performed the autopsy on Billy Mays has said that evidence of heart disease may explain the Pitchmen star’s sudden passing. The unofficial cause of death is being called a pulmonary embolism, due to an enlarged heart.

Former reports that he may have died due to injuries from what is being called a ‘rough landing’ on a US Airways fight this weekend, where Mays claimed to have hit his head, appear unfounded. Mays’ coroner says there was no evidence of head trauma, nor any other internal or external injuries.

Today judge Chin did just that, describing the crime as ‘extraordinarily evil’ and telling Madoff “symbolism is important,” at the New York sentencing hearing. Rejecting the plea of Madoff’s lawyer who asked that he be sentenced to as little as 12 years in prison, citing the 71-year-old’s life expectancy of about 13 years, Judge Chin virtually threw the book at Madoff.
