Convicted rapist arrested for rape and then 6 bodies found in his house

(ChattahBox) — Another violent criminal turned back on the street has allegedly committed a horrific crime. Anthony Sowell, a 50-year-old convicted rapist is suspected in the killings of six people whose bodies were found this week in and around a house in Cleveland, Ohio. Sowell was arrested while walking down the street without incident. The case began unfolding weeks ago, when a woman accused Sowell of rape and felonious assault, according to police.
Police said the department’s sex crime unit was serving a sexual assault warrant for Sowell at the home Thursday night when they discovered 2 bodies upstairs and later up to 4 more decomposing bodies buried in the basement and garden. Sowell is a registered sex offender and reportedly spent 15 years in prison for rape before being released in 2005.

The documents reveal Cheney’s feigned amnesia about the events leading up to the outing of Valerie Plame Wilson’s covert CIA identity. It was a powerful moment for President Obama, as he struggled to contain his emotions, as the families of the dead soldiers grieved for their sons and daughters.
Given the vitriol in right-wing attacks on the President since his election, it was only a matter of time before a Republican found reason to criticize the President for honoring our fallen soldiers. The first one up at the microphone, was none other than the dutiful Republican attack dog Liz Cheney. Abdullah expected to boycott Afghan run-off as U.S. combat injuries sharply rise

(ChattahBox) — Afghan presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah may pull out of next week’s runoff election against President Hamid Karzai, due to concerns about the credibility of the poll. After the fraudulent August 20 elections, a recount left Karzai with less than 50 percent of the vote, triggering a runoff, to which Karzai agreed last week. But Abdullah’s demands for the resignation of top officials including the head of the Independent Electoral Commission to avoid fraud in the second round of voting November 7, have not been met. A senior campaign aide said if Abdullah’s conditions were not met, “we will not participate in an election which is not transparent and fraud-free.”

(ChattahBox)—Oh my! According to Evangelicals, miniature snickers and milky ways are cursed by witches and demons. Pat Robertson’s Christian Broadcasting Network website posted quite the bizarre little Evangelical manifesto against the satanic dangers of Halloween. CBN contributor Kimberly Daniels, a self described “recognized prophetic voice,” wrote an unhinged rant against Halloween claiming, “most of the candy sold during this season has been dedicated and prayed over by witches.”
Daniels also warned of sex with demons and revel nights. And that witches on brooms, mummies, werewolves and Dracula “actually exist.” Read more

(ChattahBox)—The dim bulbs over at Fox & Friends this morning, thought a shouted threat against the House Speaker was just hilarious. Yesterday as House leaders led by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), stood on the steps of the Capitol building to unveil an historic health care reform bill, an anti-abortion extremist with a bullhorn heckled and threatened the Speaker. As she spoke about the bill, the heckler shouted, “Nancy Pelosi, you will burn in hell for this!”
Pelosi looked toward the heckler and made light of the disturbance, and thanked the “insurance companies of America.” Read more
