Breitbart: ‘This Message is to Attorney General Holder,’ Investigate ACORN ‘Or Else’

(ChattahBox)—Right-wing activist Andrew Breitbart of BigGovernment.com and other conservative anti-Obama websites, made a bizarre appearance on Fox News’ Sean Hannity Thursday night, issuing a direct threat, approaching blackmail, to the United States Attorney General, Eric Holder. Breitbart is angry that Attorney General Holder has not opened a federal investigation into ACORN and he issued a threat of releasing more tapes during the 2010 elections, unless Holder complies with his demands.
Breitbart together with conservative operatives James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles, released another heavily edited ACORN tape this week, which seems to show an ACORN employee assisting the two with an illegal prostitution scheme. Read more
Reid’s Health Care Bill Sweetened for Landrieu and Nelson

(ChattahBox)—-ConservaDem Senators Mary Landrieu (LA), Ben Nelson (NE) and Blanche Lincoln (AR) have been threatening to vote against the procedural motion of cloture to even allow the Senate’s health reform bill to come to the Senate floor for debate. But in recent days, they have seemingly backtracked from their original positions and now seem willing to at least allow the historic health care reform legislation to proceed forward to the debate process. Why the change? Well, besides outrage from their own party, and a majority of their own constituents supporting a public option, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has dangled a couple of carrots in front of the obstructionist lawmakers. And in a new poll, the beleaguered organization that helps the poor, is believed by a majority of Republicans to have “stolen” the election for Barack Obama. As, impossible and ludicrous as such a belief is, defeated NY-23 tea party candidate Doug Hoffman is now jumping on the “ACORN did it” bandwagon and blaming his loss on “ACORN and the unions,” without a shred of evidence. UFC heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar recuperating at home after surgery

(ChattahBox) — As we previously reported, there has been a lot of concern for UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, who has been hospitalized due to mono and a mysterious intestinal disorder after he collapsed in Canada. UFC president Dana White was forced to make an announcement, a week or so ago at UFC 105, and his prognosis was bleak. Since then, White revealed that Lesnar has been dealing with his internal illness for a year. UFC president Dana White said this past Thursday that Lesnar had a “hole in in intestine” that was causing a leak into his stomach, which caused pain for Lesnar. “The doctor told him he hasn’t been right for a year,” White said. “His immune system has been trying to fight this thing and that’s why he was susceptible to getting sick.” Read more

Oprah Winfrey plans to make the announcement during a live broadcast Friday, where she will reveal the final show date as Sept. 9, 2011, her production company Harpo Productions Inc. announced in a letter, which told stations to share the news. Rumors that plans have been in the works for Oprah, to start her own cable channel, The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), as a collaboration with Discovery, have been swirling for some time.
