November 30, 2009
(ChattahBox)—Alberto Gonzales, the disgraced former Attorney General under the Bush administration, who once referred to the Geneva Convention, as “quaint” in one of his despicable legal memos justifying torture, is now offering advice to college students. In the wake of evidence that Gonzales committed perjury before Congress, when testifying about his role in the politicization of the Justice Department and firing of attorneys, he resigned from office in 2007.
Gonzales remained unemployed for months, after leaving the White House, but finally was hired by Texas Tech University, where he teaches a political science course and works in minority recruitment. In a recent interview with the Daily Toreador, Gonzales, perhaps the most morally corrupt Attorney General in our nation’s history, who served under one of the worst presidents in recent memory, offered some sage advice to Texas Tech students. Neo-Nazi Hal Turner: FBI Turned me Into Violent Hate-Monger
November 30, 2009
(ChattahBox)—Hal Turner, a long-time purveyor of racist hate, neo-Nazi blogger and Internet radio host, is about to go on trial for threatening to murder three Chicago area federal appeals judges. And Turner’s defense strategy is taking an interesting turn. The vile white supremacist is claiming that he was paid and encouraged by the FBI to engage in over-the-top hate speech. And that he was unfairly arrested for going too far.
To date, FBI documents have shown that Turner acted as a low-level informant off and on from 2003 to 2008, when his undercover role was uncovered by hackers. But an investigative piece published in NorthJersey.com on Sunday, shows that the FBI at times, considered Turner an “irreplaceable,” if not an erratic and hard to control source. Turner claims that he began acting as a FBI informant, as early as 2002. Regardless, that doesn’t explain Turner’s activities as a racist hate-monger in the 1990s. Turner’s defense of “the FBI made me do it” doesn’t hold water. Read more
