GOP Budget Would Cut 700,000 Jobs on Purpose
February 28, 2011
(ChattahBox Political News)—Remember Speaker John Boehner’s snide campaign slogan, “Where are the jobs?” Well, Boehner and the House Republicans no longer care about jobs, so they came up with a new catchy slogan– “We’re broke.” And if more Americans lose their jobs as a direct consequence of draconian GOP budget cuts, “So be it,” said Boehner. True to his word, Boehner’s irresponsible plan to cut $61 billion from the federal budget for the remainder of 2011, would throw thousands of people out of work, during a recession. A new report puts the number of job losses from Boehner’s 2011 budget massacre at a staggering 700,000 jobs. Eh, “So be it,” right Boehner? Read more
Clarence Thomas and Tea Party Wife ‘Believe in the Same Things’
February 28, 2011
(ChattahBox Political News)—The ultra-conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas whined before an audience of conservative law students that critics of his radical ideology and his questionable judicial ethics, may lead to the end of tea party liberty and freedom. Thomas, the former “pubic hair” jokester, also complained about criticisms of his tea party activist wife Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, who spends her days battling President Obama’s “tyranny” and “hard-left agenda,” while he does the bidding of powerful corporate interests. “We believe in the same things,” said Thomas about his wife Ginni. Anonymous Unloads on Koch Brothers: AFP First Casualty
February 28, 2011
(ChattahBox Technology News)—Fresh off of their retaliatory takedown of the security firm HBGary Federal, the group of Internet hacktivists known as Anonymous, have set their sights on a new victim to score some fresh “lulz.” Perhaps partly inspired by the ease in which a liberal blogger pranked Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) pretending to be his billionaire benefactor David Koch, revealing the union-buster guv as a bought and paid for corporate tool, the Anonymous hive-mind has issued a call to arms to go after the billionaire Koch brothers. The new operation dubbed “#OpWisconsin,” will fight back against the “insidious” efforts of the Koch brothers to “usurp American Democracy.” The Koch’s financial backing of Walker’s partisan union-busting in Wisconsin is the “final straw,” reads an Anonymous press release announcing the first stage of Internet warfare against the Koch brothers. True to their word, the website of the Koch-backed tea party front group, Americans for Prosperity was taken offline Sunday night, but is back in business as of this writing. Read more

(ChattahBox Political News)—A Republican state lawmaker from Arizona is claiming legislative immunity from arrest, to escape prosecution for domestic violence. State Sen. Scott Bundgaar the Republican majority leader, forcibly pulled his girlfriend, Aubry Ballard from his car Friday night during a heated argument, presumably to leave her stranded on the side of a busy freeway. But when the police showed up, the only one arrested and thrown in jail for assault was the girlfriend. Bundgarr, told police they couldn’t touch him because, as a state senator he was immune from arrest while the legislature is in session. What a guy! Read more
Question About Shooting Obama Draws Big GOP Laughs
February 25, 2011
(ChattahBox Political News)– Hey, you know what Republican folks from Georgia get a big kick out of? Cracking wise about assassinating President Barack Obama, our first black president, who right-wingers are convinced is a secret Muslim, illegal alien Kenyan usurper, bent on destroying America. During a town hall held by Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA), a lawmaker so consumed with insane conspiracy theories and right-wing paranoia, that even the parody site, The Onion, can’t compete with his craziness, an attendee asked Broun the number one question on everyone’s minds in Georgia, apparently. “Who was going to shoot President Barack Obama?” Jesus, Broun must have immediately condemned such incendiary crazy talk about presidential assassination, and alerted the Secret Service, right? Not in the least. Read more

Issa Goes Rogue: Delivers Subpoenas to Obama Administration
February 24, 2011
(ChattahBox Political News)—Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) just can’t help himself. The chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform committee is on a political witch hunt. And he’s going full steam ahead with his sights set firmly on the Obama administration. Issa, who has been accused in the past of being a car thief and an arsonist, has ridiculously attacked President Obama of being “One of the most corrupt presidents in modern times.” Now, he’s angering the Democratic minority members of the committee, by shutting them out of the process and issuing unilateral subpoenas. Scott Walker’s Union-Busting Convo With Fake David Koch (Video)
February 23, 2011
(ChattahBox Political News)—-Punked! Wisconsin’s union-busting Governor Scott Walker (R) fancies himself a Ronald Reagan clone standing on the precipice of a right-wing revolution. Or so he told a liberal New York blogger posing as Walker’s billionaire benefactor David Koch, of the big polluting Koch Industries. That’s right, Walker, who refuses to even talk to Democratic lawmakers or union members, never mind negotiate with them, eagerly took a call from a man he believed to be Koch, his top campaign contributor, to talk shop about crushing unions and the hopes and dreams of the middle class. “This is our moment, this is our time to change the course of history,” Walker gushed to the fake Koch. There is now no doubt at all. Scott Walker is bought and paid for with the Koch brothers’ dirty money. Read more
Gov. LePage: So What if BPA Gives Maine Women ‘Little Beards’
February 23, 2011
(ChattahBox Political News)—Maine’s rough-around-the-edges tea party Governor Paul LePage is making a fool out of himself again. LePage, who during his campaign was chomping at the bit to be able to tell “Obama to go to hell” from his gubernatorial perch, is now gleefully contemplating a state populated with bearded ladies poisoned from plastic drinking bottles made with the chemical Bisphenol A. LePage is against a proposed state ban on kids sippy cups and other plastic containers containing BPA, because it takes away the freedom of corporations to poison people. He dismissed numerous scientific studies linking BPA to learning disabilities, cancer, an increase in hormone levels and reproductive problems. Worst case scenario? A few Maine women may grow “little beards,” said LaPage. Great. Tea party ignorance is on full display in Maine. Read more
