Mother And Son Reunited Over MySpace

January 28, 2009

Utah (ChattahBox) – A typo put into a search engine has brought together a mother and her long lost son, who she gave up as a toddler.

Terri Fuller (shown left) had always had trouble living with her decision to put her then two year old son, Rustin, up for adoption. But at the time, she had had little choice, and so left him with a loving, childless Californian couple, who could give him the life she never could.

She tried for years to find him, but was unable to do so, as she was using the wrong last name…’Haver’ instead of ‘Hawver’.

However, Rustin himself was able to find his mother, when he accidentally left out the ‘w’ in his name, and came across her MySpace page. It led to the conversation that would once again bring mother and son together.

“She had my name misspelled. If it wasn’t for Google, or that keyboard being messed up, I would have never have found that,” Hawver told newspapers.

The two plan to meet in March, for the first time in 32 years.
