Injured deer seeks treatment at Pet Smart

February 9, 2009

(ChattahBox) — Rossford Ohio Police Department responded to an unusual call this past weekend from the local PetSmart. An injured deer had wandered into the rear store room and waited patiently. Police arrived to find the deer bleeding on the storeroom floor and assumed that they would have to dispatch the deer.

Instead a veterinary team that works at the store decided to first try treat it. The deer remained calm while the team sutured its leg and gave it antibiotics. A short time later the deer got to its feet and ran from the store into a rural area.
