Video of foolish woman who climbed into polar bear enclosure

April 12, 2009

(ChattahBox) — The video below captured by a German news network (viewer descretion advised), shows some polar bears at a German zoo in pursuit of a woman making her escape, after climbing into their enclosure at feeding time. What you don’t see in the video is the woman jumping into their display area and initially appearing to be elated as she swam towards a bear in the enclosure. She had to be either high on something or mentally disturbed IMHO, because she seemed so surprised the bear latched onto her.The Daily Mail reports she was bitten by one of the four older polar bears in the enclosure and not by the famous Knut, who took Germany by storm as a cub after he was hand-raised by a keeper. Despite six zookeepers’ efforts to distract the four predators kept in the enclosure, the woman was bitten several times on her arms and legs. Luckily for her the bears seemed to be mostly toying with her or she would have never gotten out alive. She is said to have had some surgery for her wounds but will recover.
