No surprise US airlines have worst food in world!!

June 22, 2009

(ChattahBox) — USA, USA!!  Anyone that travels in cattle-class in the US, otherwise known as economy – knows they are either going to get no food most the time – or on the rare occasion food is served, it’s going to be a sub par meal.  Airline scrimping to cut costs has made buying food in the airport or bringing a meal with you for a long trip fairly essential. Well the people have spoken and a new survey makes it official, US airlines have the worst food or any carrier in the entire world.
American Airlines, United Airlines and U.S. Airways lead the way, voted the worst in a survey by SeatGuru.com. United, American and US Airways also were cited for having the least comfortable economy-class seats and the rudest flight attendants. The only stand-out US carrier was Continental, which was voted as having good in-flight food and comfortable seats. Singapore Airlines, was voted the best food and most comfortable. British Airways, Continental, Air France, and Cathay Pacific rounded out the top 5.

The only reason I will fly at all any more is when my job requires it – once every 2 to 4 years. Between the DHS Nazis at the airports and the slaughterhouse-style “accomodations” on the airlines, I see no reason to go anywhere that’s too far for a comfortable drive. That means no theme park vacations, no visits to the national parks further than 50 miles from home, no extended shopping trips, no Las Vegas. I know I am not alone. GW Bush killed airline travel by driving the DHS nail into the coffin.
