I find it hard to believe that a 16 year old kid like Joe (who family and friends maintain disapproved of drug abuse) would've taken Papaverine intentionally. An ABC News Health article I read today quotes a urologist that doesn't know a single ED patient that's taking it orally (normally its injected when used for ED). The doctor quoted in the article also says that Papaverine can cause an e*ection that doesn't go away and can actually cause permanent ED. This doesn't sound like the kind of drug a smart kid (3.8 GPA) with an internet accessible phone and an aversion towards drug use would voluntarily take at a high school rugby party. I suspect that there's more to this story than the police are saying or the kids at the party are admitting to. (I've replaced certain letters in this comment with * because I wasn't allowed to submit a comment form when I spelled out the full word).
