McDonald’s Looks For Assistant Manager To Work Guantanamo Bay

November 13, 2009

U.S. (ChattahBox) – McDonald’s has posted a job offer looking for an assistant manager willing to relocate to Cuba, and work at the controversial Guantanamo Bay branch.

It has been a matter of controversy for some time, with guards frequenting the chain in order to order food to ‘butter up’ detainees.

While the prison is expected to close within the next year (though not at the January 11 deadline originally given by President Barack Obama), the chain is still expected to remain open to military and guard staff, as well as their families, catering to more than 6,000 people that live on the base.

However, the fast food supergiant is attempting to ward off controversy, carefully refusing to name Guantanamo Bay at all in their ad.

“We are searching for an Assistant Manager for our McDonald’s restaurant located on the United Stated Naval base in Cuba,” the ad, quoted by the Telegraph, reads.

“Candidates must have restaurant Management experience, possess a valid United States passport, and be willing to relocate to Cuba.”
