So You Thought Math Was Hard…14 year old heads to Cambridge

January 8, 2010

(ChattahBox) – Arran Fernandez, a 14 year old math genius, has managed to become accepted to Fitzwilliam college, Cambridge based on his extremely excellent math test results.

He will be the youngest to become a Cambridge undergrad since 1773, and once he passes an A-level Physics exam he can begin his eduction there. It is even more absurd to consider that this boy has been home-schooled for his entire life and even helps his dad decide the curriculum he will be learning.Arran aims to complete college with a “tripos” degree, which is widely regarded to be the most difficult degree in the world. His latest ambition is to become a research mathematician at the university and solve the Riemann hypothesis, which has baffled the greatest mathematicians for 150 years.
