Wisconsin (ChattahBox) – Milwaukee teachers may be facing major cuts in employment, just like the rest of the country. But what they are really worried about it the loss of oomph…in their pants.

According to RAW, the Milwaukee teachers union has been fighting for the last two years against the cut of  erectile dysfunction drugs from covered medications in their insurance program.

The union claims it is a discrimination based on gender, since it is a male-specific drug. But the school board denies this, pointing out that it is not needed for a life or health threatening problem, but instead for recreational sex.

What makes this such a bizarre case is that the union is handling it, spending two years of funds and energy to get Viagra back on insurance, and yet almost 400 teachers from the district have been laid off.

The cost of the drug on the plan for all the teachers still lucky enough to have their jobs amidst major education cuts is almost $800,000 dollars a year, enough to keep a dozen first year teachers employed. But the union is still fighting the fight, and ignoring the major issues.

“You’ve got to be kidding me,. The fact that is the point of contention is kind of frightening. What are our priorities? I’m all for love and peace. But almost 1 million dollars? And you go to court over this issue?” Democratic State Rep. Jason Fields said.

I guess they fail to realize that they won’t be able to get it up any better when they are sitting at home, unemployed.
