June 24, 2008
Washington (ChattahBox) - Comcast’s Fandango has made a major deal to purchase Movies.com.
Fandango announced on Monday that they have purchased Movies.com in a deal designed increase profits from advertising and ticket sales for Comcast.
Fandango and Movies.com are very similar in what they do, as they sell advertising on the site, as well as tickets to movies.
Movies.com was owned by Walt Disney Co. The terms of the deal have not been released as of yet, but it appears Comcast is ready to make out big because of it.
Both sites reportedly receive different users, meaning Comcast may be able to nearly double its profits.
