The two-time Oscar winner, Tom Hanks, has added his name to an e-mail petition which is pushing AFTRA members to approve the new contract and kill all chances of a strike.

This comes as the Screen Actors Guild continues to refuse to agree to any new contract, as they still apparently feel their demands have not been met by the studios.

The Screen Actors Guild has made it clear that they will likely have a strike as their current contract expires on June 30.

AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers reached a tentative deal a month ago.
