The problem though is that it has not been received well by critics thus far.

Critics have been slamming the new Will Smith movie, Hancock, stating that it is not up to standards for the typical summer blockbusters Smith is known for.

The film runs for 92 minutes and has been receiving reviews which have been considerably critical of the film.

Directed by Peter Berg, the film certainly takes many risks in where it wants to go.

Will Smith plays a superhero named Hancock, who enjoys getting drunk more than he does saving people.

The film combines both action and comedy, and appears poised, despite the negative reviews, to appeal to the masses.

It is not Smith, or Berg taking the heat, but instead just the set-up of the film and story itself. We will see how it does this week and over the Fourth of July weekend.
