He will be getting a nine-figure bonus, in a deal worth a total of $400 million.

The 57-year old Rush Limbaugh has been confirmed to have renewed his contract with Clear Channel Radio, and its syndicating arm Premiere Radio Networks.

He told the New York Times that his contract would pay him $38 million a year for 8-years, and give a signing bonus which is believed to be $100 million.

Limbaugh’s national radio show is getting set to celebrate its 20th anniversary this August.

His existing nine-year contract for $225 million was set to expire in 2009.

This is one of the most lucrative deals in the history of radio, but is still behind radio icon Howard Stern, who received $500 million over five-years with Sirius Satellite Radio.
