The rock group performed a free concert in front of tens of thousands of absolutely over-the-top fans.

The Great Lawn was filled to the brink with fans ready to yell and scream for the Grammy Award-winning rockers led by Jon Bon Jovi.

This will likely go down as one of the most legendary free concerts in the history of New York, as many fans camped out for days to make sure they got the spot they wanted on the lawn.

The concert was set up as a precursor to the Major League Baseball All-Star Game set to take place at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday.

60,000 free tickets were handed out to fans in a variety of ways.

Bon Jovi started out the show with “Livin’ on a Prayer,” and never looked back after that.
