Bale, after being arrested this morning, has been released on bail and has put out a statement.

Christian Bale was arrested on this morning, facing allegations that he assaulted his 61-year old mother Jenny, and his 40-year old sister Sharon on Sunday night.

E! Online has reported that the laywers of Bale have put out a statement saying “Mr. Bale, who denies the allegation, cooperated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the policy. At this time, there will be no further comment from Mr. Bale.”

He is set to return to the police station in September, and did not have to actually pay any money. He was released, under British law, on police bail, which means he has to return to jail at a date in the future, but had to pay no money.

There have been few details released about what happened between the 34-year old Batman star, his mother, and his sister.

Both women filed their report against him though on Monday morning at a local police station.

This comes after The Dark Knight managed to set North American box office records, raking in $155.3 million in its first three days, and beating the old record-holder Spider-Man 3.

Christian Bale is not expected to miss any red carpet appearances.
