The SAG has voted unanimously to support its negotiators on the terms relating to new media sharing over the Internet.

The vote came in at 68-0 over the weekend, and is a huge step in terms of a unified front for the SAG.

SAG National Executive Director and Chief Negotiator Doug Allen stated “We have been telling the industry how important it is for all new media productions under our contract to be done union, and how important residuals (fees) for made-for new media programming are when programs are re-run on new media.”

The SAG represents over 120,000 actors, who all want to get back to work.

It does not appear to be happening anytime soon though.
