Actress Christina Applegate Diagnosed With Breast Cancer

Hollywood (ChattahBox) - Christina Applegate, the actress best known for her role on the hit ABC sitcom Samantha Who?, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

It was first confirmed by the TV tabloid Extra on Saturday night, as her rep Ame Van Iden stated that the 36-year old actress “was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer.”

Her rep continued by telling Extra, “Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening. Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery.”

Christina Applegate is a very popular actress, and will apparently not miss any work.

She is still set to appear on September 5th at the Stand Up To Cancer telethon along with Charlize Theron, Jennifer Aniston, and Scarlett Johannson.

Beyond that, she is also set for another season of the show Samantha Who?

The actress has had a very rough stretch though, as in early June, her ex-boyfriend was found dead of an apparent drug overdose.

Samathna Who? is set to launch its new season on ABC starting October 6th.
