The latest film in the Batman franchise, The Dark Knight, has broken another record as it now the fastest movie ever to top $400 million.<br /> ..Hollywood (ChattahBox) – The latest film in the Batman franchise, The Dark Knight, has broken another record as it now the fastest movie ever to top $400 million.

The Dark Knight is on a roll to say the very least as it has won the box office for three-weeks in a row now, earning over $40 million again last weekend.

The Dark Knight grossed $6.3 million on Monday, which put it over the $400 million mark.

The Dark Knight now holds the records for fastest film to $100 million, $200 million, $300 million, and now $400 million.

In terms of the all-time list, The Dark Knight stands at No. 8, passing Spider-Man which had $403 million.

It is expected that before its run is done, The Dark Knight will surpass Star Wars (1977) at the No. 2 spot, and could make a run at the No. 1 movie of all-time, Titanic.
