Morgan Freeman Released From Hospital After Crash, Surgery

It has been confirmed that Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman has been released from the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. The 71-year old star of the Dark Knight was driving late on Sunday night when he went off the road, flipping his car several times.

He and a female passenger had to be pulled from the car using the jaws of life.

He was in the car with a female friend, 48-year old Demaris Meyer.

Since the accident took place on Sunday night, a great deal of information has come out in regards to the current status of Freeman.

On Monday, it was reported that Freeman was feeling good and was staying positive after having to be airlifted to the hospital.

Then on Tuesday, Morgan Freeman went through surgery for injuries he sustained during the crash.

The surgery was needed to reconnect nerves, as well as to repair damages to his left arm.

On Wednesday Access Hollywood broke the news that the actor and his wife of 24 years were getting a divorce.

Morgan Freeman married Myrna Colley-Lee back in 1984 after dating for 8-years.

People is reporting that Morgan Freeman will have to wear a neck brace for six to eight months.
