The Dark Knight owned the box office yet again this weekend taking in $26 million from the three days Friday to Sunday.

The 24-day total for The Dark Knight now stands at $441.5 million, and is the No.3 movie of all-time.

In the coming days though, experts feel that The Dark Knight will surpass Star Wars (1977), which stands as the No. 2 all-time film, with $461 million.

It is still a long shot for the Batman sequel to become the No. 1 movie of all-time though, as Titanic is holding its crown at No. 1 with $601 million.

At this point though, it is just a matter of time before Star Wars becomes No. 3, and the caped crusader enters the No. 2 slot.
