Heart Is Ticked Off At Use Of Barracuda By McCain, Palin

September 5, 2008

Heart is not happy with the use of their hit song Washington (ChattahBox) - Heart is not happy with the use of their hit song “Barracuda” by Republican presidential candidate John McCain, and his running mate, vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has had the nickname barracuda for quite some time.

For this reason, it was no surprise that the song popped up during her speech at the Republican National Convention.

The only thing though is that neither the Republicans, McCain, nor Palin had any right to use the song.

Heart, made up of Ann and Nancy Wilson, is none too happy.

They put out a statement on Thursday saying “The Republican campaign did not ask for permission to use the song, nor would they have ben granted that permission.”

They have asked that the Republican campaign no longer use their music.

The song was also used on Thursday night during John McCain’s speech.
