Blu-ray Review
Publisher: 20th Century Fox
Street Date: October 7th 2008

As part of a set of films being re-released on Blu-Ray Format, just in time for Halloween, Carrie is brought back to life in high definition as never seen before. The high definition format of this Stephen King novel makes a great movie even better.

By now most are probably familiar with the plot of the movie.  Carrie a “gifted” student finds herself suffering an embarrassing moment when her first period surprises her in the shower during gym class.  When her classmates plan a horrible prank for her at the school’s senior prom they find how dangerous pranks can be.  The gifts Carrie posses’ are more things like telekenisis, which can ruin any day not to mention a senior prom.

The only special features on the disc is the original theatrical trailer but one special feature which is not marketed on the disc is to relive the early John Travolta days!

Film: 7.5

Audio: 8.5

Video: 8.5
