John McCain’s appearance, according to NBC, managed to garner a 9.0 rating, 20 share as measured by Nielsen Media Research.

This is quite good, giving SNL its second best ratings in 11 years, but behind none other than his running mate Palin.

This seems to have become the trend in the Republican presidential campaign of John McCain.

It has become quite apparent that Palin has turned out to be the bigger draw, despite the fact that she is on the bottom of the Republican ticket as the VP choice, not the presidential candidate.

McCain appeared on SNL along with Ben Afleck, and took part in two skits which were actually quite funny.

He made fun of how he no longer has the funds to keep up with Obama, as well as joking about being old.
