Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and Republican candidate John McCain have been going at it for months now, and the networks have been loving it.

This is most clearly seen on Saturday Night Live, which enjoyed its two highest-rated shows in the last 11 years over the course of just the past two weeks.

On top of that, there have been many other huge ratings draws, such as the spikes seen on the late night talk shows, news networks, and more.

Things such as the debates, the nomination acceptance speeches, and more could be compared to ratings for the Super Bowl in the eyes of many.

With the networks benefitting in a huge way, it should be interesting to see what they do post-election.
