The 33-year old mother of two has been nominated for an Academy Award five times now, and is highly-respected.

That did not stop her from being attacked by the media though as many accused her nude Vanity Fair photos of being airbrushed.

Kate Winslet confessed to Vanity Fair that she never had a desire to be famous when she was young.

She stated “I didn’t know of any fat famous actresses. I just did not see myself in that world at all, and I’m being very sincere. You know, once a fat kid, always a fat kid.”

Kate Winslet has since replied to accusations that the photos were airbrushed.

A rep for Winslet told People magazine she is “furious” about the accusations.

The rep told People “What you see is how she looks or she would never have agreed to pose for those shots.”

This is what happens when women try to draw attention to themselves for the wrong reasons. It usually backfires somehow. She’s very conceited for someone so insecure.
