Just over three months from plane crash - Travis Barker and DJ AM to perform together again on New Year’s Eve
December 1, 2008
(ChattahBox) — Just a little over three months after miraculously escaping a fiery plane crash with their lives, Travis Barker and DJ AM real name Adam Goldstein, will perform together for the first time.
The duo will team together to headline New Year’s Nation’s Los Angeles New Year’s Eve Party at The Lot in West Hollywood, California. The performance will be streamed on the Internet and broadcast at other New Year’s Nation parties across the U.S.
“I’m ready to get back on stage with AM and continue to rock the house,” Barker said in a statement to the AP. “I’m very excited to bring in the New Year in my hometown of L.A.”
It will mark the first concert for the duo since they performed at a free concert for about 10,000 people in Columbia, South Carolina, before boarding a private plane September 19 for Los Angeles that crashed and killed four people. The two slid down the wing on the right side of the plane and tackled each other to put out the flames saving each others lives. Late last month, Travis filed a lawsuit blaming the pilots (who perished in the fire) and faulty equipment for the crash that left him with third-degree burns. I have mixed feelings about the lawsuit, but what a miracle it is that these two friends survived the crash and after only a few months of healing will be back on stage together.
