Actor Matt Dillon Arrested For ‘Going to Fast’ In Vermont

December 31, 2008

(ChattahBox) — Matt Dillon got himself arrested for excessively speeding in Vermont Tuesday night. The 44-year-old actor/director was clocked going 106 MPH on Interstate 91 in rural VT, where the speed limit was 65.  Because the star of movies such as “Something About Mary” and “Me and Dupree” was going excessively fast, cops were forced to hauled him in for a little finger-printing and picture-taking session.

He was later released and sent off on his way with a citation.  Dillon will now be due in court next month to answer to the charges of excessive speeding.
Dillon, has had a long distinguished movie career, when he became a teen idol in the ’70s and ’80s. He is an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award and BAFTA Award nominated actor. He won an Oscar for the 2004 film “Crash.”
