Charles Barkley looking for love in all the wrong places

January 1, 2009

(ChattahBox) — As you have probably heard by now, Charles Barkley was arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving early Wednesday morning.

The former NBA star was spotted running a stop sign around 1:30 a.m. in Scottsdale’s Old Town area, one of the trendiest spots in the Phoenix metro area, by an officer with a law enforcement task force that targets drunken driving.

The TNT NBA commentator wasn’t inclined to submit to a breath test but was forced to take a blood test. The results weren’t immediately available but Barkley was processed, cited and released sent away in a cab.

According to TMZ.com, the reason Barkley passed a stop sign was because he was in a rush to get himself some oral sex. Given the alleged dialog he was probably very drunk as well.

The officer that wrote the police report said, “He told me that he ran the stop sign because he was in a hurry to pick up the girl he saw in the passenger seat of another car. He asked me to admit that she was ‘hot.’ He asked me, ‘You want the truth?’ When I told him I did he said, ‘I was gonna drive around the corner and get a b–w job. He then explained that she had given him a ‘b–w job’ one week earlier and said it was the best one he had ever had in his life.”

Then after the boys in blue took him into the station he was heard telling one of the station employees, “I’ll tattoo my name on your ass” if he helped “get him out of the DUI.” According to the police report, “He laughed and then quickly corrected himself and said, ‘I’ll tattoo your name on my ass’ and then laughed again.”

Barkley is also known to be a compulsive gambler and that hasn’t seemed to damage his career. It will be interesting to see how this new incident is going to play out with his TNT gig and his aspirations to run for Governor of Alabama in 2014.
