Speculation on David Carradine’s tragic death

June 4, 2009

(ChattahBox) — After a maid found David Carradine’s body reportedly hanging by the neck in a closet in his Bangkok hotel room, police called it a likely suicide. Since then it’s been pointed out Carradine had spoken openly of his past battles with drugs and alcohol and even thoughts of suicide in an interview in 2004 to try to explain how this could have happened. But in the description at the scene of his death where he was found naked, there was something mentioned that makes me suspicious.

I initially kept those thoughts to myself but now his manager says the actor had been in good spirits, eager to work on the current film and three more lined up when he returned to the United States according to People Magazine who quotes her as saying:

“I can tell you 100 percent that he would have never committed suicide,” Tiffany Smith, who along with Chuck Binder managed the Kill Bill star, “He was too full of life.”

“We are not saying it’s an accidental death because we don’t know,” says Smith. “Right now we are just letting everyone know that it’s under investigation and we’ll see … I just know he didn’t do this to himself.”

In the original story broken by the BBC, it stated that the rope David hung himself with was wrapped around his neck and genitals. “Genitals” was later changed to “other parts of his body.”  There are perhaps other explanations but auto-erotic asphyxiation would account for the circumstances and the many friends and families belief he didn’t intentionally kill himself.
