Farrah Fawcett has passed away at 62

June 25, 2009

(ChattahBox) — Actress and 70’s icon Farrah Fawcett has died at the age of 62. After a brave, relentless and injurious battle against anal cancer that has dominated her life for more than two years, she passed away at 9:28 a.m. PST at St. John’s Heath Center in Santa Monica, Calif., with her longtime partner actor Ryan O’Neal, at her side.

A life-long devout Catholic, the Charlie’s Angels star was given last rites late last night after being transferred to the Intensive Care unit at the L.A. hospital where she has been treated since her condition worsened three weeks ago. Farrah was a star in the true sense of the word and will be sorely missed.
