Wild child Johnson & Johnson Heiress Casey Johnson Found Dead
January 5, 2010
(ChattahBox) — Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson was found dead on Monday morning, according to reports. The cause of death was not yet known, but preliminary investigation had found no signs of foul play. How long she had been dead before she was found has not been revealed either. Her father is Woody Johnson, owner of the New York Jets. She was just 30 years old at the time of her death and had been living the hard partying life of a wild-child socialite.Casey has had many brushes on the edge of fame and notoriety. She was a high school classmate of Paris Hilton, and told Vanity Fair in a 2006, that she turned down the fellow socialite’s invitation to co-star on The Simple Life. Hilton eventually chose Nicole Richie for the television show instead. “I kick myself in the butt every day,” she told the magazine.
She recently got mixed up with another trainwreck, Reality TV star Tila Tequila, who claimed last month that the two were engaged. Casey according to TMZ, last stayed at Tila’s house on the 28th but left the next day. Tila supposedly tried contacting Casey on the 29th because she had left her dogs behind, but Casey’s phone has been shut off since the 29th and she was not able to make contact. Johnson last tweeted on 29 December. On 26 December, she had tweeted to a friend likely referring to Tila saying: “i was VERY lucky this year.. I found my soulmate. I got her for Christmas.. Best gift ever!! xo.”
Casey has found more than her share of trouble. She was in the headlines last month after she was arrested for allegedly breaking into the home of TV presenter Jasmine Lennard and stealing her clothes. Casey was also in the news not long ago after allegedly getting viciously beaten up by ex-girlfriend Courtenay Semel, who also supposedly set fire to her hair. Her family are said to have cut her off after she developed drug problems last year, and Casey lost custody of her adopted daughter, Ava, now three, from Kazakhstan. It’s a very sad story and we wish now that Casey can rest in eternal peace.
UPDATE: A law enforcement source has revealed to TMZ, that it appears Johnson had been dead for several days before her body was discovered. Johnson had a history of diabetes and fell into a diabetic coma on two occasions previously. Insulin syringes were found in her home at the scene of her death.
