Sir Anthony Hopkins In First Art Exhibit

February 15, 2010

UK (ChattahBox) – A collection of abstract paintings done by Oscar winning actor Anthony Hopkins are set to be displayed in London for the first time.

The collection will feature 38 paper canvases, 7 acrylic pieces, and 5 limited addition prints for sale.

“His technique is to use a palette knife to make thick, swooping strokes with gobs of paint. His work is painterly, wild and vibrant and is generous with its motion and use of color,” Jonathan Poole said in an official statement on the show he is promoting personally.

“Sir Anthony takes his artwork very seriously and I have the utmost respect for both his artistic and acting abilities.”

The show will be featured at London’s Galley 32 until February 20, then move to Edinburgh’s The Dome on March 2.
