Former ‘Growing Pains’ Actor Missing, Police Want Help

February 22, 2010

(ChattahBox) – Actor Andrew Koenig, who formerly played on the hit television show ‘Growing Pains’, has been officially reported missing by his family.

Koenig, who is the son of famed Star Trek and Babylon 5 actor Walter Koenig, was last heard from in Vancouver, but missed his plane back to the United States.

No one has heard from him since.

His family has expressed worry over his mental and emotional state, after his father received a letter he described as having a “despondent” tone.

He has been described as depressed, and his friends say they worry as he sold a number of his possessions before his trip into Canada.

“I think it’s something that has been a part of his makeup for a long time,” Walter Koenig said of his son’s depression.

“There’s no single trauma. There’s no episode. There’s nothing of that nature.”

Anyone with information on his whereabouts are being asked to contact police.

I hope they find him, and that he’s okay. I can’t imagine not knowing where my child is.
