George Clooney Forced Out Of Villa By Paparazzi

February 24, 2010

(ChattahBox) – George Clooney is selling his Italian villa due to increasingly aggressive attempts by the paparazzi to photograph he and his girlfriend.

The veteran actor has been living in Italy since 2002, in the region of Como a short way from Milan.

He and girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis have not been finding the hideaway at Villa Oleandra at Laglio as peaceful as they had hoped.

They have had various run-in’s with the local tabloid press, including one incident where a photographer climbed over the villa wall and photographed an underage girl dressing in a guest room.

“I don’t know about the law in the United States but in Italy it’s illegal for photographers to climb over my wall and to take long-lens pictures of a 13-year-old girl in her bedroom. I draw the line of privacy at that,” Clooney said of the incident.

Already, potential buyers are being named, including David and Victoria Beckham, and Russian tycoon Roustam Tariko.
