Charlie Sheen Back to Taping Two and a Half Men
March 15, 2010
(ChattahBox)—For those of you who have missed Charlie Sheen’s boozy and free-wheeling Lothario character on the hit CBS comedy Two and a Half Men, Charlie is returning to the show on March 16, after a stint in rehab. Sheen left the show on Feb. 23, after a much-publicized fight with his wife on Christmas day, which resulted in charges of domestic violence.
The show’s executive producer, Mark Burg, said Sheen is anxious to get back to work. “Charlie is looking forward to going back to work for the final four episodes of Two and Half Men.” “He’s also looking forward to clearing his name, putting all of this behind him and spending time with his kids during his hiatus,” added Burg.
Sheen appeared in court on Monday, absent his TV wardrobe of shorts and a short-sleeved bowling shirt, to plead not guilty to charges of felony menacing and two misdemeanors for assault and criminal mischief. Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller says that he grabbed her throat and threatened her with a knife, saying he’d kill her if she told anyone. The fight began after Mueller, the mother of the couple’s one-year-old twins, threatened Sheen with a divorce.
Sheen denies the charges, attributing the incident to marital difficulties and his wife’s problems with alcohol. Mueller is also receiving treatment in a rehabilitation facility. Sheen plans to return for treatment to the rehabilitation center in the evenings, while he tapes the final episodes of this season’s show.
Two and a Half Men has been renewed through the 2011-12 season.
