Michael Jackson Estate In Largest Recording Deal In History
March 16, 2010
Michael Jackson’s estate has agreed to produce a series of ten album projects over the next seven years with Sony, including one with unreleased material.
The deal is worth approximately $250 million if all conditions are met and sales reach their projections.
It is sure to be a heavily profitable deal for both Sony, and Michael Jackson’s children, as already the record label has sold 31 million copies of his albums since his death in June of last year.
Michael Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009. His death was ruled a homicide, and his doctor was charged for administering the drug Propofol.
Dr. Conrad Murray has plead ‘not guilty’ to manslaughter charges.
