North Korea Tries Blocking ’2012′ Over Regime’s Fear Of Lucky Streak Break
March 26, 2010
N. Korea (ChattahBox) – Kim Jong-il’s regime is trying desperately to block any pirated copies of the film ’2012′ from entering the country, as the government says it jinxes their claims that the nation will become a quickly rising superpower by that year.
The movie features heavy special effects, which show the end of the world from natural disasters such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and huge tidal waves.
The government fears citizens watching a film that shows the destruction of the planet in the year that leaders have promised that they will become a reigning International power on the world’s playing board.
According to anonymous sources inside of Pyongyang, anyone caught watching the film, which is being smuggled from China, is being arrested. The charges they face, of a ‘grave provocation against the development of the state’, could lead to five years in prison.
