Comedy Central Caves To “Warning” From Extremist Group On South Park Episode

April 22, 2010

(ChattahBox) – After radical Islam site RevolutionMuslim.com “warned” the creators of South Park of a possibility of retaliation for an episode featuring Mohammad disguised as a bear, Comedy Central has yanked the episode.

According to the website, which usually offers streams of recent episodes, there was a message instead.

“We apologize that South Park Studios cannot stream episode 201 at this time.

After we delivered the show, and prior to broadcast, Comedy Central placed numerous additional audio bleeps throughout the episode. We do not have network approval to stream out original version of the show.

We will  bring you a version of 201 as soon as we can. “

Comedy Central has confirmed that they did ad bleeps and censors without consulting the creators, and that they have refused to air the episode.

The move came after RevolutionMuslim, a radical site known for supporting jihad and airing sermons by extremists calling for violence, warned Matt and Trey that they would be facing poissible repercussions similar to Theo Van Gogh.

Van Gogh was stabbed to death in Amsterdam in 2004 after making a short film based on female oppression in the Muslim communities of Europe.

This is absolute rubbish. The creators of SouthPark live in the West – the land of democracy. We’ve fought for the right for freedom of speech. Why should they (South Park creators) or we for that case be held to ransom by some deluded extremist as to what we can do?

If it bothers them so much, DO NOT WATCH IT !!

Typical. The islamo-fascists scream and everybody takes cover.

    Comedy Central, bunch of dhimmis.

The show quite literally makes fun of everything…EVERYTHING. Never have I seen any kind of prejudice on South Park in regard to what the creators are willing or unwilling to make fun of.

The fact that Comedy Central, or Matt & Trey, have even bothered to give this threat any real thought makes me lose a lot of respect for them. They didn’t seem worried when they made fun of Jesus, abortion, politics, famous people, the beliefs of their friends & co-workers..why Muslims? To hell with Muslims.

It seems that most of the articles on this story think that the government won’t prosecute the people associated with this threat against South Park, but shouldn’t they? Making Terrorist Threats is indeed a crime in this country. Why is it that we’re fighting a war against terror somewhere other than in the middle of our own country?

Oh well, I guess there is no free speech unless you’re a radical, religious fundamentalist extremist willing to allude to horrible acts of violence on the internet via some 2nd rate website.
