Halderman Sentenced In Letterman Blackmail Case

May 4, 2010

(ChattahBox) – Robert “Joe” Halderman, the former CBS producer who plead guilty to blackmailing David Letterman(shown) about his sexual infidelities with women on his staff, has been sentenced to 6 months behind bars.

Halderman was reportedly silent through most of the sentencing, only saying “No, sir,” when asked if he had anything to say about the punishment.

He was then led out in handcuffs to immediately begin his six-month sentence for the attempted extortion of $2 million from David Letterman.

As a part of the plea deal, Halderman will be forced to keep quiet about any details related to Letterman’s affairs. He will also be under a protective order until 2018 making him unable to contact the host in any way.
