‘Virginity Auction’ Documentary Sparks Controversy Overseas

May 10, 2010

Nevada (ChattahBox) – An Australian filmmaker has caused outrage from many circles after announcing that he will be making a film based off of a virginity auction of three participants from his home country.

The movie was originally based in Australia, but had to be moved to Nevada, USA after he was threatened with a prostitution charge by police.

The film takes three adults and gives them $20,000 plus 90% of the money earned from their auctions for them to give their virginity to the highest bidder.

The rest of the money is passed on to the bordello that will be used as the setting for the film.

Auctions can be bid for online until the final process, when the bidders meet the virgins face to face for the final bid.

Many have expressed anger over the idea, which is meant to challenge the traditional outlook of sex and virginity.
