‘Deadliest Catch’ Pleads Guilty To Bank Robberies
May 14, 2010
Oregon (ChattahBox) – Joshua Tel Warner, best known for his time on the reality show “The Deadliest Catch” has plead guilty to three counts of robbery in the second degree, after being identified in the armed robberies of three banks between 2007 and 2009.
Perhaps the smartest thing to do when you rob a few banks is not to go on a television show and make trouble, bringing a great deal of attention to yourself.
But that is just what Warner, one of the dumbest criminals ever, did.
According to police, Warner was caught on camera robbing three banks: one in 2007, and two in 2009.
He then became a “greenhorn” on Discovery’s popular crab fishing show, and had several confrontations on the program that further brought him into the limelight.
He was stopped for a routine traffic stop in New York City on New Year’s Eve, and arrested for the crimes.
Now that he has plead guilty, he will spend 114 months behind bars (That’s about 9 1/2 years, for all you too lazy to do the math).
Smart move, Warner. Everyone knows the best place to lay low after committing a felony is on a crab fishing boat. You just forgot to take the camera and millions watching into account.
