Colbert Mocks Media’s Plea for Angry Obama: Goes Berserk on BP CEO (Video)
June 8, 2010
(ChattahBox)—Stephen Colbert provided the country with a satisfying cathartic moment last night, when he theatrically ripped off the sleeves of his dress shirt and proceeded to apply a beat-down to a snide BP CEO stand-in. As the Tony Hayward look-alike whined that he wanted his life back, Colbert responded with a swift kick, before dragging him to the building’s rooftop
Before going ape-sh*t on the Hayward impersonator, Colbert, said “Well Tony, on behalf of the American people I would just like to say…”
President Obama, just said this morning to NBC’s Today Show’s Matt Lauer, that he was consulting with a team of experts to solve the Gulf disaster and to determine “whose ass to kick.” As Colbert demonstrates, BP’s Tony Hayward makes a satisfying target.
Once on the rooftop, Colbert said to the Hayward stand-in, “You know what happens when a pelican gets oil on its wings? It makes it awfully hard to fly,” before shoving the annoying Brit off the roof:
