(ChattahBox) – Michael Douglas is battling some yet unnamed form of throat cancer. His spokesperson Allen Burry, told People magazine that the Oscar-winning actor has been diagnosed with a tumor in his throat, but didn’t get into specifics. According to Burry, Douglas, 65, will begin eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy treatment, and his doctors expect the actor to make a full recovery. “I am very optimistic,” Douglas said in a statement. Michael was expected to hit the red carpet and interview circuit to promote his latest movie, “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” which is due to open in theaters Sept. 24. But that might have to be put aside so he can focus on getting through his treatments. We wish him a speedy recovery!
