Bush blamed the rising food and energy prices, as well as a weak housing market on Congress, and the economic problems.

Bush spoke during a news conference stating “Many Americans are understandably anxious about issues affecting their pocketbook, from gas and food prices to mortgage and tuition bills. They’re looking to their elected leaders in Congress for action.”

“Unfortunately, on many of these issues, all they’re getting is delay.”

Bush says that the inaction of Congress is of major concern.

Bush is trying to get Congress to pass plans which would lower gas prices and energy bills, providing a stimulus to the economy.
