Garnett Leads Celtics Past Lebron, Cavs In Game 1

Kevin Garnett led the Boston Celtics over Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in game 1 of the Eastern conference semi-finals. Lebron James had an extremely quiet night going just 2 for 18 in terms of shooting. He also missed lay-up at the end of the game to tie it up.

The Boston Celtics played superb defense, but also played some sloppy offense as they had trouble getting a true rhythm going.

The offense was led by Kevin Garnett, with help a big 1st half put forth by Rajon Rondo.

Sam Cassell and James Posey also made huge shots down the stretch.

Ray Allen went scoreless for the first time since 1997, going 0 for 4.

Overall, Garnett and the Celtics team defense led them to a 76-72 victory.

The Boston Celtics lead the series 1-0, with game 2 set for Thursday night in Boston, MA.
